Copyright subsists in the php files, text, photographs and design features of natureconservationimaging.com. However, the text, including research on invertebrate behaviour, is open to use by anyone visiting the website. The vast majority, excepting bird raptors and six mammals identified as such in the text, were taken in wild and free conditions. A number of invertebrates were photographed after capture in an effort to reveal the wonderful yet tiny distinguishing features which are not always easy to show in the wild. Generally, if a certain species cannot be photographed satisfactorily naturally - a rare quality in the vast majority of birds, mammals, amphibians, reptiles, butterflies, dragonflies and flora - I tend to move on to one which can. Nature Conservation Imaging is designed to be less a commercial site than an environmental and conservation resource, but don't let that put you off asking about the purchase of images for use in publications or privately. The Picture Index pages contain links for all of the 1,200 or so species of flora and fauna represented in the website and my stock library covers many more. Please e-mail me at Nature Conservation Imaging with your requirements. Images © Jeremy Early. All rights reserved. In 2013 I published My Side of the Fence - the Natural History of a Surrey Garden. In November 2015 Surrey Wildlife Trust published the atlas Soldierflies, their allies and Conopidae of Surrey, jointly written by David Baldock and me. Details are on this web page: Atlas. |
